An auction for collectors
This month at Potters Auction Saleroom promises to be an exceptional event tailored specifically for collectors! A notable theme this month is music, featuring a vast collection of both singles and LPs across a multitude of years and genres. With approximately 78 lots of records up for bidding, we are confident that both collectors and enthusiasts will discover pieces of great interest.
Two amazing collections of RAF memorabilia
We are thrilled to announce an extraordinary opportunity for collectors and history enthusiasts alike: the Bill Poulton memorabilia collection. This remarkable collection chronicles the harrowing and heroic journey of Sergeant Bill Poulton, a 22-year-old bomb-aimer of a Halifax bomber from RAF Snaith, whose aircraft was downed during a World War Two mission over Germany.
Diverse range of items at our next auction.
We are pleased to announce our upcoming General and Household online auction, Saturday, June 8th, at our Trafford Street location.
It’s all a bit fishy!
We are excited to announce that our latest auction features an extensive collection of fishing gear, meticulously photographed and ready for bidding. This month, we present a diverse array of items catering to all fishing enthusiasts.
Our auction includes a remarkable collection of fly fishing kreels and a substantial selection of vintage wicker fishing baskets. Complementing these are exquisite vintage, split cane fly fishing rods, alongside an assortment of vintage reels crafted from both aluminum and timber.
September auction recap
It’s that time of the month where we’d do a quick recap on some of the great results and nice surprises from the last auction in September.
Undoubtedly, there were some surprises in the auction. An interesting ephemera lot, which included a framed picture signed by King Ferdinand of Bulgaria, a Great War Egg collection certificate, and various framed antique photos, saw the hammer fall at £800.
Living in 40s style
In this job, we encounter a delightful array of unique, beautiful, and occasionally peculiar items. When John and Shirley Cottam visited our Messingham office to discuss their collection of 1940s furniture, radios, and a long case clock, we were immediately intrigued. However, nothing could prepare us for the enchantment of their period home.
August auction recap
Although we’re currently working very hard on the next auction, we thought we’d do a quick recap on some of the great results and nice surprises from the last auction in August.
We appear to have a ‘Mousey’ problem!
This month’s auction features newly available Robert 'Mousey' Thompson pieces, including a charming card box, exquisite nut bowl, beautifully crafted cheese paddle, elegant lamps, and small desktop book stands. Each item showcases the distinct hand-carved mouse and intricate details, crafted from solid Oak. Despite previous use, they are in fantastic condition and will captivate collectors. Don’t miss the chance to enhance your collection.
